POSITION: MEDICAL ASSISTANT
LOCATION: RUMPHI-MINE SITE
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Mine Clinic, which serves over 1000 patients per month. Your role will involve providing exceptional patient care, maintaining medical records accurately, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients are well taken care of, guaranteeing a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all patients receive the best possible care.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain their medical history and vital signs, and document this information in the medical record.
- Maintain the security of medical records and patients’ health information.
- Manage the outpatient unit.
- Perform patient examinations.
- Diagnose and screen patients.
- Refer major cases to larger hospitals.
- Compile and submit monthly reports for the clinic.
- Report errors or issues promptly to the supervisor.
- Order medical supplies as determined by inventory needs.
ATTRIBUTES:
- Certificate in Clinical Medicine
- Registered with Medical Council of Malawi
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a busy setting
