Alliance One Tobacco (Malawi) is seeking applications for the position of:
MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
The successful applicant will report to Mechanical Supervisor.
Key responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:
- Conducting daily maintenance on Re-drier, Fishburne, Packing conveyors and associated equipment
- Day to day general plant inspection checks
- Ensuring that daily maintenance on TL1 equipment and by Product Line are done properly
- Conducting weekly maintenance on final screening and micro pulses
- Fitting sprockets and chains, V-belts and pulleys
- Conducting condition monitoring using vibration analyser
- Assemble gearboxes and drives alignment
- Installing mechanical equipment
- Conducting Thermo imaging on mechanical components of TL1 and by products Line
Qualifications & Experience
- Must have Malawi School Certificate of Education
- National Trade Test Grade 1 or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- At least three years’ experience in Plant Maintenance and installation

- Self driven , disciplined and motivated.
