The Company is looking for a suitably qualified person to take up the position of Mechanical Harvesting Manager at its Nchalo depot.

Minimum Requirements |
Suitable candidates should have the following:

- Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering degree from a recognized learning institution
-
- Must have a valid driver’s licence.
-
- At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in a managerial position
-
- No previous criminal records.
-
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills including report writing
-
- Must be computer literate.
The following will also be advantageous:
-
- Experience with operating Case Austoft 8810 tracked chopper harvester
-
- Experience with operating agricultural machinery with autosteer and/or in-cab screen for application rate control.

- Experience with operating tracked mechanical heavy machinery

Duties & Responsibilities |
-
- Manage the entire chopper harvesting operation at Nchalo
-
- Meet all operational KPI’s relating to chopper harvesting and cane haulage
-
- Work towards monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and profit targets.
-
- Implement change management with the change to mechanical harvesting
-
- Manage staff to ensure driver and vehicle utilization is achieved
-
- “Daily required delivery” parameters are always met
-
- Daily liaison with operations management staff
-
- Vehicle fleet complies with all legal requirements
-
- Health & Safety legislation and procedures are adhered to
-
- Quality management policies and procedures are adhered to
-
- Business plans presented at operational meetings
-
- Ensure and maintain ongoing exceptional relationships with the customers
-
- Problems/complaints are timeously resolved to the benefit of all parties involved
-
- Excellent customer relations are maintained
-
- Comply with company code of conduct, policies and procedures
-
- Ensure that training needs are met for the operators
- Ensure that good industrial relations are maintained on site.
