Mechanical Foreman at Eastern Produce Malawi Ltd

Eastern Produce Malawi Ltd has the following vacant position: Mechanical Foreman.
EPM is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill these positions.

MECHANICAL FOREMAN

KEY DUTIES OF THE MECHANICAL FOREMAN:

• Assist the Engineer in the day to day maintenance works and allocate teams to do these works.
• Supervising teams of workers on various maintenance works.
• Ensuring that maintenance is done following correct procedures and complying to Safety Regulations.
• Be responsible for Engineering team whenever the Estate Engineer is not available, and during breakdowns.
• Compiling list of spare parts for shutdown maintenance.
• Ensure all Artisans adhere to Health and Safety procedures.
• Be hands on and able to carry out maintenance/repair works.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

The required candidate should have experience in Mechanical maintenance of Machinery. It will be
an added advantage if the applicant has building construction and renovation experience, irrigation
systems and pump repairs and pipe fitting experience. The applicant should be willing to be hands on as when required to do so. The applicant should be able to motivate artisans reporting to the Foreman and have good communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate should have Trade Test Grade One Certificate or any equivalent. A minimum five years prior experience in mechanical maintenance role is a must.
