YATHU Savings & Credit Cooperative (Formerly ADMARC EMPLOYEES SACCO) is an affiliate of MUSCCO, a member owned financial Cooperative that aims at mobilising member savings and promoting the sustainable growth and development of the SACCO and its members through cost-effective inclusive programming.
The SACCO is looking for honest and dynamic persons to fill the position of Marketing Officer which is tenable at its head office in Blantyre:
The Marketing Officer will be responsible for the promotion and positioning of the SACCO brand and the products and services it offers. He /She will be tasked with generating strategies that grow market share and brand’s reputation, improve customer experience and drive growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Developing and implementing marketing strategies for a SACCO’s brand.
· Take lead in member recruitment to ensure membership growth in the SACCO
· Educating the membership on the products and services offered by the SACCO
· Performing market research and analysis to understand the dynamics and trends of the market
· Creating and executing lead generation programs
· Analyzing marketing budgets and allocating resources strategically
· Coordinating with sales teams to determine marketing requirements and ensure alignment in meeting sales targets
· Overseeing the creation of promotional materials, website content, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects
· Communicating with various media buyers, advertising agencies, printers, and other services to help marketing projects come to fruition
· Tracking and analyzing the performance of marketing campaigns and adjusting strategies as needed
· Networking at various events and trade shows to promote the brand
· Creating and presenting regular performance reports for managers and executives
ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS
· Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously and prioritize their responsibilities.
· Should have excellent organizational skills, prioritization and the ability to meet deadlines
· Must have a good understanding of popular social media platforms work to enable the SACCO determine which is most likely to generate sales and improve brand awareness
· Should have strong communication skills to convey their ideas and messages.
· Must persuasive communication skills can help you promote a product or service and encourage members to join the SACCO.
· Ability to generate new ideas and innovative ways to communicate with your members
· Ability to suggest innovative promotional ideas, appealing designs and strategies to increase the impact of marketing materials.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Business Management with 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Those with a Marketing Diploma and 5 years’ experience will be considered.
