NON-ACADEMIC STAFF VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resoces (LUANAR) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to be considered for the following vacant posts in various establishments of the University.
MARKETING OFFICER
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans aligned with LUANAR’s goals by conducting market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor activities.
- Manage the University’s online presence through social media, website, and other digital platforms through creation and optimizing digital marketing campaigns to reach target audiences.
- Identify and foster partnerships with external organizations to enhance the University’s visibility and collaborate with industry partners for joint marketing initiatives.
- Plan and execute events, such as open days, seminars, and workshops, to promote LUANAR to prospective students and stakeholders.
- Generate creative and compelling content for various channels, including brochures, website, social media, and newsletters. By collaborating with academic departments to highlight programs, achievements, and student success stories.
- Assist in managing the Marketing and Communications Department budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient allocation of resources.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a University of repute.
- Minimum of three (3) years proven experience in marketing in a big organization, preferably in institutions of higher learning.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools, analytics, and trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in digital marketing platforms and tools.
- Creative and ability to collaborate with diverse teams and departments.
- Strong relationship-building skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to adapt to changing trends and technologies in the field of marketing.
- Willingness to learn and apply new strategies for continuous improvement.
Terms and Conditions of Engagement
All the successful candidates will be engaged on an initial 2-year contract before they can be considered for permanent appointment based on satisfactory performance. Remuneration
will be in line with LUANAR Staff Regulations and Conditions of Service applicable to staff
on fixed-term contract.
