We seek to hire an efficient and skilled Marketing and Business Development Executive- Intern at Kanjira Investments. The Marketing and Business Development Executive – Intern will be responsible for bid process, from initiation to tender documents submission. The assignment includes ensuring timely submission of high-quality bids that meet client requirements, managing the bid timelines and resources effectively and establishing compliance with all bidding requirements and guidelines. The officer will also be responsible of conducting marketing analysis of the business at hand.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing bid strategies that align with the company’s goals and client requirements.

  • Coordinate and facilitate bid review meetings, ensuring key internal stakeholders provide input and address concerns or issues.

  • Ensuring compliance with client requirements, regulations, and industry standards by communicating with administration on expired regulatory requirements.

  • Lead and coordinate the entire bid management process, including reviewing bid invitations, conducting bid/no-bid analysis and establishing timelines.

  • Prepare and review the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all works, goods and services are included in the final price to the client.

  • Coordinating with various teams, including technical and finance to ensure all aspects of a bid are addressed.

  • Managing bidding resources, and timelines to ensure on-time and high-quality proposal submissions.

  • Conducting the end-to-end bid process, including opportunity identification, qualification in collaboration with the technical team, and bids submission.

  • Identifying new business opportunities by monitoring public and private sector tender portals.

  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate bid documentation, including bid files, records of communication and pricing information. Updating the operations Manager on tender follow ups.

  • Monitoring and evaluating bid performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

  • Provide Bid reports to senior management.

  • Attending prebid meetings arranged by clients

Technical and Essential Skills

  • Ability to create visually appealing and engaging bid presentations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess bid opportunities and develop winning strategies.

  • Understanding pricing strategies and financial analysis in bid development.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously

Requirements and qualifications

  • Degree or Advanced Diploma in any Business Administration or Marketing or Procurement

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented

  • Knowledge of bidding process

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to interact with cross-functional teams

  • Strong problem-solving abilities

  • Knowledge of construction industry will be an added advantage.

  • Strong written communication and presentation skills

  • Highly developed analytical and organizational skills

Remuneration

Internship allowance of MK200,000.00 per month will be offered to the successful candidate.
