National Water Resources Authority (NWRA)
The National Water Resources Authority (NWRA) is a statutory organization established by the Water Resources Act of 2013 with a specific function to regulate and manage water resources.
Furthermore, the NWRA seeks to ensure the sustainable use of water resources and address the water resources planning, development, and management challenges. In its effort to sustainably manage water resources, the NWRA seeks to recruit members of staff. In this regard, NWRA invites applications from suitably, qualified, and experienced persons to fill the following vacant position:
Job Title: Licensing Officer
Department: Regulatory Services
Grade: NW5
Reporting to: Senior Licensing Officer
Purpose of the Job
To facilitate the licensing processes.
Key Duties
- Analysing and recommending licence applications.
- Reviewing and implementing license applications guidelines
- Processing applications
- Collecting and maintaining licences data and records.
- Communicating legal licensing requirements to clients.
- Printing and issuing licences.
- Preparing periodic reports.
- Preparing and revising licensing checklists and manual.
- Reviewing Water Resources Regulations to align with the water resources policy change.
Minimum Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Water Resource Management, Natural science or Related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in water resources or inspectorate regime.
