The University of Malawi Library operates a 24 hours three shift service, 7:30am- 4:30pm, 2:30pm-10:00pm and 10:00pm-6:00 am. The Library is therefore seeking to employ 12 library interns for a period of six months to assist it in the operation of its services.
DUTIES
- Charging and discharging of information materials to library users.
- Maintaining print and electronic records in the library.
- Shelving of library materials.
- Answering library users questions.
- Assist with library security.
- Conducting simple book repair.
- Compiling usage statistics.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- MSCE and Library and Information Science (MALA) Certificate
- Ready to work a night shift
