Kalekeni Kaphale Lawyers is seeking to employ young and energetic LEGAL PRACTITIONER at its Blantyre Office.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist corporate clients in legal advisory work to resolve complex legal issues.
- Negotiate contract terms, transactions and settlements on behalf of clients.
- Managing multiple clients, cases and legal activities that carry varying deadlines.
- Conduct research and analyze a case to determine a probable outcome and devise an effective strategy to defend client/s in court.
- Prepare appropriate legal documents for court proceedings.
- Represent clients in criminal trials.
- Provide legal opinions to clients and help them to understand their legal options.
- Resolve cases as quickly as favorable as possible.
- Review files quarterly to decide action on the case.
- Regularly update clients on developments about their cases.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of Bachelor of Laws Degree from a recognized institution
- Must be admitted to the bar
- At least two (2) years work experience.

- Ability to work autonomously and with a team.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly analytical with a strong attention to detail.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards
- Self-Starter
