Kalekeni Kaphale Lawyers is seeking to employ young and energetic LEGAL PRACTITIONER  at its Blantyre Office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assist corporate clients in legal advisory work to resolve complex legal issues.
  • Negotiate contract terms, transactions and settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Managing multiple clients, cases and legal activities that carry varying deadlines.
  • Conduct research and analyze a case to determine a probable outcome and devise an effective strategy to defend client/s in court.
  • Prepare appropriate legal documents for court proceedings.
  • Represent clients in criminal trials.
  •  Provide legal opinions to clients and help them to understand their legal options.
  • Resolve cases as quickly as favorable as possible.
  • Review files quarterly to decide action on the case.
  • Regularly update clients on developments about their cases.

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Laws Degree from a recognized institution
  • Must be admitted to the bar
  • At least two (2) years work experience.

  • Ability to work autonomously and with a team.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly analytical with a strong attention to detail.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards
  • Self-Starter
