LEGAL OFFICER

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the above post in our Legal Department in Blantyre.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Company Secretary/ Legal Counsel. The duties to be performed will, among others, include the following: –

• Providing legal advice to the Bank.
• Representing the Bank in courts of Law.
• Processing security documents to adequately secure all financing.
• Enforcing security held to recover debts for/on behalf of the Bank.
• Assisting with legal and regulatory compliance.

Method Of Application

Interested applicants should be holders of a degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university with at least 18 months experience as a legal practitioner in a busy and reputable legal firm. Those with experience in a similar role from financial institutions will have an added advantage.
