POSITION : Legal Counsel – Civil Litigation

Duty Station : Head Office – Blantyre

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting civil litigation on behalf of the Authority.
- Conducting legal research and preparing legal opinions.
- Drafting legal documents and instruments.
- Representing the Authority in all Courts of Law and Tribunals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from a recognized University.
- Admitted to practice Law in the Supreme Court of Malawi, High Court and Courts subordinate thereto.
- Must possess a valid legal practitioner’s licence.
- At least three (3) years post admission experience.
- Demonstrable experience in civil litigation.
- Experience of providing effective legal counsel in a busy environment

- Knowledge in tax and customs laws.
