Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer in Environmental Health (1 position)

Reporting to: Head of Public Health Department

Education & Experience

A Master of Science in Environmental Health or related discipline of study obtained from a
recognized and accredited university. Must be registered with Medical Council of Malawi. A higher
qualification is an added advantage. A minimum of two (2) years of teaching at tertiary level.

Key Duties and Responsibilities of a Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer Position

The main elements of the job are as follows:

  •  Teaching and devising the best learning approaches for students
  • Assisting students’ academic work and doing student supervision.
  • Carrying out research, consultancy and outreach activities.
  • Scholarly publishing.
  • Participating in curriculum development and/or curriculum revision.
  • Providing academic guidance to students.
  • Mentoring junior generation of academics.
  • Community engagement for transformation
  • Integration of faith and learning
