Laboratory Technician at Chibuku Products Limited

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

This position is tenable at Lilongwe and Blantyre Breweries. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Quality Controller and will be expected to ensure quality control, conducts tests, analyze results, and adhere to safety protocols in the brewery laboratory setting.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Analysis of incoming raw materials, online inspection and analysis of finished product.
• Decision making on receipt, holding or rejection of non-compliant materials or finished product.
• Data analysis· Good record keeping
• Compliance with good manufacturing practices
• Ensure safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Laboratory equipment calibration

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• BSC in Environmental Science, Food Science or Chemistry will be an added advantage.
• Those with a Diploma in Laboratory Technology, should have two years’ experience in a··similar position.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of brewing processes, quality control standards, and laboratory equipment operation
• Analytical and problem solving skills· Familiar with MS 21.
• Ability to handle customer complaints
• Ability to provide corrective and preventive plans.
• Should have knowledge of industrial safety.
• Good report writing skills.
• No criminal record
