QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should:
have a Certificate in Science Laboratory obtained from a recognized institution have a 3-year experience working in a laboratory setting have strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision have knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures, including handling hazardous materials be a team player.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Set up and maintain laboratory equipment, prepare solutions and reagents
- Assist students and teachers in conducting experiments, collecting data and recording results
- Maintain accurate records of experiments and findings
- Order laboratory supplies, manage inventory and ensure that all materials are properly stored and maintained
- Assist with collecting and analyzing data and recording results in laboratory notebooks or computer databases
