About CAMFED:
CAMFED (the Campaign for Female Education) is internationally recognized as a leader in girls’ education, for its child protection policy and practice, and as a voice for girls’ education and women’s empowerment at the highest levels. Founded in 1993, CAMFED supports girls throughout their primary and secondary school years and supports women to transition to productive and fulfilling livelihoods and onto leadership, as role models, activists, and philanthropists. CAMFED operates in Ghana, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi.

CAMFED began working in Malawi in 2009, and is currently operating in all the districts, working closely with the Ministry of Education.

We seek to recruit qualified and experienced candidates for the following position:

Job Title: IT Support Assistant Officer
Report to : IT Support Officer
Hours : Full-time – 37.5hrs per week
Location : National Office, Blantyre

Principle Accountability
To assist in providing technical IT support services to programme implementation and administration staff and
stakeholders in various districts across the country.

Duties

  • Installing and configuring computer systems
  • Performing minor IT equipment repairs
  • Technical user support
  • Providing basic troubleshooting of system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/
    software faults
  • Replacing parts as required
  • Providing in house training to staff on use of technology, include mobile technologies for gathering information in the field.
  • Running network applications to support systems and users
  • Supporting new applications
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems, and implementing corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate
  • User accounts administration

Person Specification

  • Advanced Diploma in Information Technology from a well-recognized institution and a minimum of two years progressive work experience.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and Windows products
  • Have Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2019 and active directory
  • Familiar with ODK
  • Knowledge of photoshop or CorelDraw
  • Familiar with remote user support tools
