KCHKNA is seeking a dedicated and versatile Accountant and Fundraiser to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company while also leading fundraising efforts to support our strategic initiatives and projects. This dual-role position requires a professional with strong financial acumen, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven track record in fundraising.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Duties:

  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including tax filings and audits.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Budget Preparation: Develop and monitor budgets for various departments and projects, providing regular updates to management.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, ensuring the company has sufficient funds to meet its operational needs.

Fundraising Duties:

  • Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to support the company’s growth and project initiatives.
  • Grant Writing: Identify and apply for grants from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources.
  • Donor Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, events, and activities, both online and offline.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on fundraising progress and financial impact, communicating results to stakeholders and management.
  • Database Management: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of donors and potential funding sources.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in fundraising or grant writing experience.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, including grant writing and donor relations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
