Background

Banja La Mtsogolo (BLM) is a Malawian Non-Governmental Healthcare Organization established in 1987. BLM provides quality Family Planning and Reproductive Healthcare including HIV/AIDS information and interventions. BLM is a senior member of the Marie Stopes International Partnership which works in 37 countries. BLM serves over 800,000 clients annually and makes a significant contribution to national family planning objectives. The organization has national coverage, operating through 25 clinics and numerous outreach clinic sites.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill Internship positions within BLM in the Finance, Procurement, and IT Departments, to be based at the BLM Support Office in Lilongwe.

Role Purpose

Banja La Mtsogolo intends to offer a career development opportunity to fresh Graduates in the field of Finance, IT and Procurement, where the successful candidates will be required to undergo on-the-Job training, working while following up on the BLM Systems in the respective Departments supporting both the Commercial side of BLM and the Not-for-Profit side.

The Interns will be offered Training in their respective areas of Professionalism so that they develop requisite skills, knowledge, and experience as they launch their Careers using experiences within an International NGO perspective that BLM offers.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Diploma or Degree in any of the Indicated Fields of Finance, Procurement, or IT.

  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Should be a team player and able to get details of operations.
  • High computer literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Should subscribe to the values and beliefs of BLM and MSI
  • Must be honest and of integrity
  • Be pro-choice
