INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY AT WATER WITNESS
Are you passionate about making a difference in water stewardship, environmental sustainability, and advocacy? Water Witness Malawi offers a unique internship opportunity for those looking to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector. This internship is designed for individuals interested in civic, charitable, or humanitarian work and eager to develop their skills while contributing to impactful projects.
What We Offer
Our internship program is based on a volunteering framework where participants are motivated by educational and professional interest. While this is an unpaid internship, we provide a stipend.
Key Responsibilities: Interns will work on a range of tasks, including:
Assisting with updating and developing project materials.
Conducting research and supporting evidence-based initiatives.
Supporting internal and external communications aligned with our advocacy strategy.
Assisting in the planning and execution of workshops and key sector engagement events.
Supporting project reporting, knowledge management, and additional ad-hoc tasks.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in water resources management, Climate Change, Community Development and Environmental Management or Similar fields
A willingness to learn and a cooperative attitude.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to punctuality, honesty, and professionalism.
The ability to work under supervision and comply with all Water Witness Malawi policies and procedures.
Terms and Conditions
Internship duration is typically three months, with the possibility of a three-month extension upon review.
Interns are expected to follow a set schedule determined with their supervisor.
Interns will not receive wages, benefits, or employment guarantees.
Additional workdays may be required, depending on project activities.
Prohibited Activities: Interns will not replace current employees, operate heavy machinery, or engage in tasks that require employment status.
Training and Support: All interns will receive the necessary training and orientation relevant to their roles, ensuring a safe and beneficial experience.
