Organization Overview
Scripture Union Malawi is faith-based organization dedicated to engaging children, youth, and families with the word of God. Our mission is to encourage people of all ages to meet God daily through the Bible and prayer, to spread the teachings of Christ and foster spiritual growth in communities across the country.

Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic intern to join our Youth and Family Ministry team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in faith-based community outreach and program development while making a positive impact on the lives of children, youth,
and families.

Key Responsibilities

1.Work Closely with Church leaders and para–Church Organizations to build and strengthen SU Malawi relation in the Division and Make SU reading materials accessible to the church
2. Work Closely and establish relationship with Universities, Colleges and
Secondary Schools to ensure young people are engaged in Scripture and are
growing gin the serving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
3. Participate and build strong transparent relationships with all SU ministries in the Division
4. Coordinate and oversee division activities aligned with the organization’s
mission
5. Develop and implement programs to engage target groups in daily prayer and Bible study
6. Collaborate with volunteers and division chairperson to create and implement divisional ministry activities.
7. Monitorprogram effectiveness and report outcomes to leadership.
8. Managedivision budget and ensure accurate financial records..
9. Prepare reports and presentations to leadership
10. Organize division events, workshops, and retreats to support the mission.
11. Stay updated on relevant trends in children, youth and family ministry. Carry out any other duties assigned by the National Director and Division Chairperson

Qualifications

– Strong Christian faith and a passion for ministry

– A degree in Theology, Business Administration, Education, or a related field

– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

– Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude

– Experience working with children and/or youth (volunteer experience is acceptable)

– Proficiency in proposal writing

– Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
