Chibuku Products Limited, the manufacturer and distributor of Chibuku Shake-Shake, Chibuku Super, and other non-alcoholic beverages such as Super Maheu, is inviting applications from passionate and self-motivated individuals to join our team as an Instrumentation Technician.
This position is based at Lilongwe Brewery and will report to the Brewery Engineer. The role involves the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control systems used in brewery operations. It ensures efficient and safe equipment performance to support the brewing process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and calibrate instrumentation and control systems for brewing, packaging, and bottling equipment.
- Ensure accurate measurements and control of variables such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates.
- Conduct routine maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Diagnose and repair faults in instrumentation and control systems.
- Ensure compliance with brewery safety standards and local regulations.
- Perform regular inspections to identify potential hazards and maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of instrumentation work performed.
- Communicate effectively with brewery management and team members regarding instrumentation issues and solutions.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- City and Guilds Trade Test Grade 1 in Electrical Installation and Electronics.
- Diploma in Electrical Installation and Electronics (an added advantage).
- At least 2–3 years of experience in instrumentation installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Experience in a brewery or industrial setting is preferred.
- Completion of an instrumentation technician apprenticeship program.
- Relevant industry certifications.
- No criminal record.
