POSITION: INSTRUCTORS
Location: Zomba
INTRODUCTION.
Prisoners Destiny Transformation Organisation is a Non-Governmental Organisation that was established with the plight of prisoners and ex-convicts. PRIDETO is embarking on 18 months project funded by PACIFIC GROUP OF COMPANY at domasi prison. The organisation is inviting application from experienced candidates to fill the positions of instructors to train prisoners in the field of Carpentry, Tailoring and Poultry.
INSTRUCTOR (poultry)
Responsibilities/Duties
- Deliver standard training messages to targeted beneficiaries according to guidelines
- Prepare and submit the monthly report to the PRIDETO
- Tests and evaluates improvement and achievement of members in technical knowledge and vocational skills
- Ensure that training met the needs of the identified class
Education and experience.
- Diploma in Animal science or Animal health or any related field
- At least one year of practical experience
INSTRUCTUCTOR (tailoring)
Responsibilities/Duties
- Provide instruction and demonstration of basic stitching ,use of basic pattern for bags, cushion covers and clothing items, means for mending damaged clothing and other alterations, basic machine use and basic machine maintenance
- Prepare course material and provide hand outs to all participants
- Communicate information with enthusiasm, clarity and patience
- Ensure safe and appropriate use of all equipment’s
Education and experience
- Certificate in tailoring
- At least three years of practical experience
INSTRUCTOR (Carpentry)
Responsibilities/Duties
- To promote, deliver, train and asses trainees on carpentry and joinery courses
- Communicate information with enthusiasm, clarity and patience
- Ensure safe and appropriate use of all equipment
- Prepare and submit monthly report to PRIDETO
Education and qualification
- Certificate in carpentry and joinery
- At least three years of practical experience
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR INSTRUCTORS
- Attention to detail, anticipating and follow up are core value of job function while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality regarding contract and salaries
- Possesses strong cross-cultural communication skills ,both written and verbal
- Must have analytical report writing skills
