We, Grant Thornton Consulting Limited, have been retained by our client in the Health Sector in Malawi to carry out an Executive Search for suitably qualifying persons to fill the position of ICT Officer tenable in Lilongwe.

ICT OFFICER
Position Purpose
Reporting to Head of Finance, the ICT Officer will play a pivotal role in linking business needs with technological solutions.
This role will ensure that Unit systems are efficient, effective, and aligned with the business objectives of the Donors and the Malawi government.
Educational Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Professional Certification:
- Microsoft Certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or any relevant Microsoft certification.
- Microsoft Dynamics Certification: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 366
- Business Central Functional Consultant Associate.
- Programming Certifications: Certified in relevant programming languages such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) for Java SE, Microsoft Certified:
- Azure Developer Associate or Certified Python Programmer (PCAP) can be advantageous.
Experience:
Relevant Experience: At least five years of experience in systems and web development and support, data analysis, or a related field in a busy organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Systems Analysis and Improvement:
- Analyze Existing Systems: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of current systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
- Recommend Improvements: Develop and propose actionable solutions to streamline operations and boost system performance.
- Implement Enhancements: Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement system upgrades, ensuring new functionalities meet organizational requirements. Collaboration and Requirements Gathering:
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Engage with various departments gather detailed requirements and understand their specific system needs.
- ERP System Requirements: Collect and document requirements for Enterprise
- Resource Planning (ERP) systems or enhancements to existing systems
- Data Evaluation: Perform in-depth data analysis to assess system performance, usage, and potential areas for improvement.
- Reporting: Generate and present detailed reports on system performance, efficiency, and suggested improvements to stakeholders.
Technical Support and Training:
- Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to users, troubleshooting issues and ensuring systems are functioning correctly.
- User Training: Develop and deliver training programs to educate users on new systems and enhancements, ensuring they can utilize them effectively. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest technology trends and advancements in systems analysis and apply this knowledge to recommend innovative solutions.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and systems, ensuring the organization remains efficient and competitive.
- Software Management: Oversee software application installation, configuration, and maintenance to meet the organization’s needs.
- Data Management Ensure the integrity and security of organizational data through regular backups and data recovery processes.
