Position Background :

mHub is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and motivated ICT Manager to oversee all aspects of the organization’s ICT infrastructure and technology operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading in business development for technology solutions and coordinating internally with team members on where technology solutions can be embedded in both new or existing programs. The ICT Manager will also will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of mHub’s technical systems, maintaining hardware and software, and providing essential technical support to staff, program beneficiaries, and the wider community

Purpose of the Position :

The ICT Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and maintenance of mHub’s ICT infrastructure. This includes managing hardware and software systems, providing technical assistance and troubleshooting support, and facilitating training and development activities for techpreneurs and community members. The ICT Manager plays a crucial role in the development and implementation of technology solutions that contribute to mHub’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Innovation, Business Growth, and Technology Solutions
    • The ICT Manager will lead the development and deployment of innovative technology solutions that drive business growth.
    • The ICT Manager will work closely with program teams and the resource mobilization officer to embed technology in new and existing programs.
    • Engaging clients to identify technology needs, developing tailored solutions, managing partner relationships, and conceptualizing new tech opportunities.
    • The ICT Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of technology projects—from design and deployment to ongoing support.
    • The ICT Manager will be central to fostering innovation, expanding business opportunities, and driving strategic growth.
  • ICT Systems Management
    • Oversee the installation, setup, and maintenance of ICT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
    • Ensure the smooth operation of all ICT systems, including security protocols, antivirus software, email provision, and print services.
    • Schedule and manage upgrades, security backups, and routine maintenance of hardware and software systems.
    • Monitor and manage the hub’s network security to safeguard data and prevent internal and external attacks.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting
    • Provide technical assistance to staff, program beneficiaries, and community members.
    • Respond to and resolve ICT-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Training & Capacity Building
    • Facilitate the delivery of various ICT skills development programs.
    • Train program beneficiaries and staff on the use of ICT equipment and software.
    • Mentor and provide technical guidance to young techpreneurs.
  • Program Support
    • Work closely with management to implement and monitor work plans.
    • Write high-quality program reports detailing progress and outcomes.
    • Support project teams with technical advice and research on emerging technologies.
    • Foster collaborations between the hub and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & Reporting
    • Liaise with donors and other partners for technical guidance.
    • Provide regular updates to management on the status of ICT systems and program deliverables.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills :

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in ICT management, with a focus on hardware and software maintenance, network management, and technical support.
  • Strong knowledge of ICT infrastructure, including security systems, network management, and data protection.
  • Experience with providing technical training and mentoring to young tech professionals.
  • Knowledge of current software development trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
