Phata Sugarcane Outgrowers Cooperative has a 600-hectare irrigated sugarcane scheme in Chikwawa District. The cooperative belongs to 1150 members and it is being managed in partnership with Agricane Malawi Limited. The Cooperative is looking for experienced personnel to fill in the following position:
Human Resources Officer
The incumbent will be reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, and will be responsible for but not limited to undertaking the day-to-day Human Resource which include:
- Facilitate Job interviews and conduct orientation for new employees Opening and updating of personal files and managing leave records.
- Maintain a proper filing system to ensure record safety, traceability and usability
- Handling all disciplinary cases and disputes
- Representing the Cooperative in all Industrial relations Court cases
- Liaising with Labour Office on Labour Issues
- Administration of Pension scheme and workers compensation
- In liaison with accounts department manage payroll
Qualifications and other attributes
- Malawi Schools Certificate of Education
- Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognised institution
- A minimum of five years experience in a busy environment
- Must be computer literate
