HUMAN RESOURCES INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

An internship opportunity has arisen for graduates interested in pursuing a career in our Human Resources Department. MTL internship programme offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in a technically advanced telecommunications company. Our graduate internship is open to all fresh graduates from an accredited institution of higher learning. The internship offers an opportunity for candidates to;

Specific Departmental Requirements

Applicants should have the following basic knowledge and attributes:

  • Employee benefits administration processes
  • Employee welfare management
  • Coordination of training and awareness processes
  • Human Resource records management
  • Human Resources Administration
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant Human Resources policies and Malawi’s labour laws.
  • Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position
  • Strong verbal and personal communication skills
  • Decision making, critical thinking, organizing and planning
  • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Good working relationship with supervisors and workmates.
  • Must have good organizational skills and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines

Duration of Internship

This internship will be for a period of 12 months. You will be required to work at MTL Head Office in Blantyre.

Do I expect a job after completion?

MTL does not guarantee jobs after the internship. However, the Company will give priority to the best candidates and consider them for employment depending on available opportunities on completion of the internship. A token internship allowance at the level set by the company shall be paid.
