Applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited for the Human Resources and Administration Officer position at Press Agriculture Limited’s Head Office in Kasungu to join our team and provide comprehensive support to our Human Resources and Administration function.

Job Brief
In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently processing employee data, keeping company policies up-to-date, and assisting in the hiring process. Your exceptional organisational skills and familiarity with HR functions will contribute to running all HR operations smoothly. You will play a crucial role in maintaining
accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with HR policies, and promoting effective organisational
communication. Your attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion will be
essential in this role.

Human Resources and Administration Officer
Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager. Duties and responsibilities will include, among other things, the following.

  1. Being actively involved in recruitment and selection by preparing job descriptions, preparing adverts and managing the hiring process.
  2. Maintaining physical and digital personnel records, updating the database and creating guidelines and policy documents.
  3. Supporting the development and implementation of Human Resources initiatives and systems.
  4. Coordinating Performance Management System, training, onboarding materials and development of staff members.
  5. Coordinating the welfare of staff, safety and health.
  6. Responsible for salary administration.
  7. Organizing, educating and counselling employees on policies and procedures.
  8. Supporting Management on disciplinary and grievance issues.
  9. Managing employee records in accordance with company and legal requirements.
  10. Reviewing employment and working conditions to ensure compliance with company and legal requirements.
  11. Preparing reports and presentations on HR and Administration.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ideal candidates will be holders of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or its equivalent from a reputable institution.
  • Must be honest, mature, energetic, and hard-working.
  • Understanding of Labour laws and disciplinary procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office and knowledge of Human Resources Management Systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience as an HR and Administration Officer or in a similar role.
  • A self-starter with excellent analytical, organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
