We are looking for a passionate and suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies.
Job Title: Health and Nutrition Officer
Job Specification:
The incumbent shall manage the Health and Nutrition Department delivered by The Sparkle Foundation. Ensuring adherence with the health provision framework whilst ensuring responsiveness to the health needs of the target populations in target communities. Develop and deliver a sustainable Health and Nutrition program in line with organization strategy. Work in partnership with relevant health authorities and institutions.
Duties and Tasks
- Develop and deliver a health and nutrition programme in line with organisational strategy, scaling and replication with organisation growth.
- Conduct health promotion activities and educational campaigns to raise awareness about preventive health measures, healthy lifestyles, and nutrition practices.
- Conduct assessments and surveys to identify health and nutrition needs, priorities, and disparities within communities.
- Overseeing feeding program in all sparkle sites
- Work hand in hand with the agriculture officer to ensure a sustainable food programme. Develop a plan in collaboration for the selling of additional farm stock.
- Monitoring the nutritional status of children enrolled in the Sparkle Foundation’s feeding program.
- Initiate the process to develop grant winning proposals to increase the financial base for the delivery of Sparkle’s health programmes in the local setting.
- Advise the Operations Director on national health policies and regulations with the view to devise appropriate response for the health service provision.
- Undertake any other activity that will promote the efficient and effective delivery of health programmes in target communities.
- Establish productive networks with relevant health authorities and institutions necessary for smooth provision of Sparkle’s health programmes.
- Gather relevant data to inform the formulation of appropriate health service delivery programmes to populations and in target communities.
- Manage all M&E and reporting within the programme.
- Effectively manage budgets and financial requests for the delivery of the programmes.
Qualifications
- First Degree in Public health or any other related filed
- Minimum of 2 years of experience of working in similar post
