Responsibilities:
• Supervise and lead: Motivate and coach a team of servers, bartenders, and support staff to deliver exceptional guest service.
• Operational excellence: Ensure smooth restaurant operations, including table management, seating arrangements, reservation management, and adherence to service standards.
• Guest experience maestro: Be the first point of contact for guests, addressing inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and a genuine smile.
• Wine knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of our wine offerings and confidently guide guests through wine pairings and recommendations.
• Team player: Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure a cohesive guest experience.
• Ambiance architect: Create a warm, inviting, and knowledgeable atmosphere that reflects the unique character of our hotel and winery.
• Training and development: Contribute to the training and development of new team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Special events: Assist with the planning and execution of special events and catering functions.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a head waiter/restaurant supervisor in a fine dining establishment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service orientation.
• In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service protocols.
• Passionate about wine and the ability to share your knowledge with guests in an engaging way.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in point-of-sale systems and other relevant software.
• Sommelier certification or equivalent wine knowledge is a plus.
