Lilongwe Pentecostal Church Christian School

Lilongwe Pentecostal Church Christian School (LPCCS) is a well-established school,registered with the Government of Malawi and licensed by the Ministry of Education. LPCCS follows the Government calendar and is compliant with the Education Curriculum issued by the Malawi Institute of Education enforced by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. LPCCS is founded on Christian Faith and equally accepts learners from other faith backgrounds.

LPCCS is urgently looking for suitable candidates to fill the following positions:

JOB TITLE: HEAD TEACHER

GRADE: A
SECTION: ADMINISTRATION
REPORTING TO: THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WORK STATION: LILONGWE

PURPOSE

The Head Teacher shall be in charge of both the teaching and administrative staff, responsible for the day-to-day running of LPCCS and the development and implementation of policies and procedures for proper running of LPCCS and promoting and maintaining high quality standards of education at LPCCS. The Head Teacher shall work in collaboration with section heads for efficient and effective
delivery of education services to learners. As the team leader, the Head Teacher shall coordinate all activities of LPCCS in accordance with the approved curriculum and education calendar. Furthermore, he/she shall have a clear vision and abilities to move LPCCS to an even higher excellent performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Establish and promote high standards of teaching and learning environment at LPCCS.
2. Demonstrate high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues including examinations in order to promote and maintain integrity of LPCCS.
3. Develop and implement effective and clear procedures and processes that are consistent with applicable pieces of legislation on education, Government Education Policies and the Vision and Objectives of the LPCCS.
4. Establish an annual master plan for instructional programs and ensure sequential learning experiences for learners, and teachers that are consistent with the Philosophy, Mission and Goals of LPCCS.
5. Develop and implement an effective management and communication systems to motivate members of staff and learners and effective co-ordinations.
6. Give advice to the Board of Directors on matters pertaining to the management and the development of LPCCS and other strategic matters for efficient and effective service delivery.
7. Uphold Christian values at all levels of child development at LPCCS.

(e) Be able to interpret policies and procedures and develop implementation strategies
(f) Be a good role model and adviser to both learners and teachers
(g) Be mature with high morals and integrity

Education Qualification and Experience

The suitable person must possess a T2, Diploma in Primary Education or a Diploma in Education or its equivalent obtained from an accredited institution of higher learning with a minimum of ten (10) years of teaching experience, inclusive five (5) years of school management.
