Holy Family Secondary School, a mission-owned co-educational institution located in Bowe, Kasungu District, is inviting applications from qualified, experienced, and committed educators for the position of Head Teacher.

 

Position: Head Teacher

Location: Holy Family Secondary School, Bowe – Kasungu

 

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide visionary and spiritual leadership in line with Catholic values and educational mission.
• Oversee the academic, administrative, and pastoral life of the school.
• Promote a culture of academic excellence, discipline, and holistic formation.
• Ensure the effective implementation of the national curriculum and adherence to Ministry of Education guidelines.
• Manage staff performance, development, and welfare.
• Supervise financial planning, budgeting, and resource mobilization.
• Foster strong partnerships with parents, the Church, the local community, and education authorities.
• Uphold and promote the Catholic ethos and identity of the school in daily life and activities.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Masters degree (or higher) in Education from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of five (5) years of proven leadership experience in a reputable secondary school.
• Registered with the Teaching Council of Malawi.
• Practising Catholic with a strong understanding of Catholic education philosophy (recommended).
• Sound knowledge of educational policies, curriculum implementation, and school administration.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
• Strong integrity, accountability, and problem-solving abilities.
• Computer literate
