Position Title: Head of Property Valuation
Position Reports to: Chief Executive – Malawi
POSITION PURPOSE
We are one of the fastest-growing Property development and Management Companies in Malawi, and a recognised leader in providing Commercial, Retail and Residential Property Management services, and currently possesses a Property Management and Services portfolio across this range.
The Valuation and Advisory Services department provides independent, accurate, reliable and timely valuations critical to the success of every real estate transaction or financing.
Responsible to the CEO for the all valuation and rating assessment, responsible for the daily operations, procedures, processes and resources of the Valuation department and support operating units in order to ensure common focus and the systematic leveraging and consolidation of all synergies and diversities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Carrying out all valuation assignment on behalf of clients
2. Heading the research function of the company
3. Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective financial policies for the department.
4. Responsible for planning, development and implementation of effective operations management policies, procedures and planning.
5. Effectively supervision of assigned personnel to ensure optimal performance
6. Responsible for ensuring that professional business relations are established and maintained with clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Land economy. Those with a Master’s degree in Property studies or equivalent will have a great advantage
- Practicing registered Value with SIM Thorough understanding of business management and administration
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Years of related progressive experience.
- Significant managerial experience required
- Solid organizational and analytical abilities. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Ability to coordinate, manage and direct others.
- Ability to develop and complete reports and research on time.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills in programs like Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and others.
