NBS Bank Plc is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Head of Finance at our Head Office. This role reports directly to the Chief Finance Officer and plays a pivotal role in managing the Bank’s Finance function. The ideal candidate will guarantee financial integrity and adherence to regulations, while delivering accurate financial reporting and strategic financial guidance. This will be in alignment with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the Bank’s regulatory policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the Finance Department’s operational plan, submitting it for approval to the Chief Finance Officer.
- Create and manage the Bank’s budget timetable and process, incorporating strategic and departmental plans.
- Ensure accurate recording of financial obligations and preparation of statutory financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory frameworks.
- Conduct timely preparation and dissemination of financial reports to stakeholders.
- Oversee financial management compliance, investment management, and liquidity, contributing to policy formulation and optimization of investment returns.
- Serve as a key member of the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO), offering strategic recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ICAM, or equivalent).
- At least 8 years of experience in Financial Management, Control, and Reporting, with a minimum of 4 years in a senior management role.
