Salima-Lilongwe Water Supply Company
The Salima-Lilongwe Water Supply Company (SLWSC) Limited is a Special Purpose ‹ Vehicle (SPV) incorporated by the Malawi Government for implementation of the Salima-Lilongwe Water Supply Project.
The Company’s mandate is to manage implementation of the Salima-Lilongwe Water Supply Project, and to develop and manage water resources for raw and potable bulk water supply to support the socio-economic development of Malawi. The Salima-Lilongwe Water Supply Company invites applications from suitably qualified candidates of Malawian origin to fill the following vacant position:
HEAD DRIVER
Job Title: Head Driver
Grade: SLWSC 9
Department: Human Resource & Administration
Location: Lilongwe
Reporting Responsibility: Assistant Administration Officer
Supervision Exercised: Driver
Purpose of the Job
To facilitate mobility of staff in pursuit of the goals of SLWSC through the provision of transport;
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain vehicle log book for all vehicles;
- Deliver mail, packages to/from various stakeholders;
- Report breakdowns and accidents;
- Conducting daily vehicle routine checks including but not limited to oil, brake function, water, lights and tyres;
- Check and advise on vehicles certification to ensure timely vehicle service and renewal of Insurance and Certificate of Fitness;
- Consolidate and submit monthly vehicles status reports to supervisor;
- Supervising Motor Vehicle Drivers;
Qualifications and Experience
- Malawi School Certificate of Education
- A Chauffer Certificate
- Valid Grade 3 driving License
- Defensive Driving License
- A minimum of Seven (7) years’ work experience in related work
