The Public Procurement & Disposal of Assets Authority (PPDA) was established by an Act of Parliament to regulate the procurement and disposal of Public Assets in Malawi. PPDA mission is to provide a professional, efficient, and effective regulatory, monitoring and oversight function on all public procurement and disposal matters. To accomplish its mission, PPDA is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant position.
Job Title: Graphic Designer
Grade: Temporary
Location: PPDA Offices, Lilongwe
Purpose of the Job
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Specifically, he/she will be required to perform the following duties and responsibilities.
- Designing Visual Content: Create visually appealing graphics, illustrations, infographics, and other multimedia elements to accompany PR materials.
- Campaign Support: Collaborate closely with PR and Communication Manager to conceptualize and develop visual assets for PR campaigns, events, and initiatives.
- Brand Representation: Ensure all visual content adheres to our brand guidelines, maintaining consistency and coherence in design across all communication channels.
- Digital and Print Design: Produce graphics optimized for digital platforms (social media, website, email newsletters) as well as print materials (brochures, flyers, posters, etc.).
- Photo Editing and Manipulation: Edit and retouch photographs to enhance their quality and suitability for the use in PR materials.
- Video Graphics: Assist in the creation of video graphics, lower thirds, and other visual elements for multimedia content.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have bachelor’s degree in either Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Communication, or any related field. Demonstrable experience and evidence of graphic designing work is desired. Those with advanced knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and excellent knowledge of other AI Suites will have an added advantage.
