Family Planning Association of Malawi (FPAM) is a local, non-governmental organization providing youth friendly sexual and reproductive health rights, information, and services. FPAM compliments the government of Malawi in improving the health status of all people in Malawi. FPAM’s vision is a Malawian society with access to quality and comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services and information.

FPAM is invites highly competent, experienced, and committed professionals to fill the following position:

GRANTS COORDINATOR (RE-ADVERTISED)- SECRETARIAT, LILONGWE.

Function: To maintain donor contracts and up to date donor project files and ensuring that donor reports are sent on time and are accurate.

Reports to: Finance Manager

Job Role

To help developing and maintaining strong and effective financial management systems and internal control while coordinating all the organizational grants.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain donor contracts and up to date donor/project files.
  • Ensure donor reports are sent on time and are accurate.
  • Ensure donor financial reports reconcile with accounting data, management reports and bank statements.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly accounted for.
  • Ensure all projects have an up-to-date asset register.
  • Track VAT and report as requested per donor requirements.
  • Ensure that cash is available for all projects by preparing annual and monthly cash forecast and other relevant tools.
  • Point of contact for donor communication.
  • Support the preparation of annual program budget (APB), by providing project budgets and budgets modifications.
  • Ensure FPAM and donor compliance is adhered to by staff, sub awardees and partners.
  • Support pre-award assessment of sub grantees.
  • On monthly basis, provide management with BA’s and other Grants Management reports.

Major Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, Business Administration obtained from a reputable University.
  • At least 3 years post qualification experience, particularly in grants and financial management in a non-governmental organization.
