Job Summary: The Gender & GBV Specialist will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise in the design, implementation, and monitoring of OVC and gender-related interventions within the ANAPA. This position will focus on ensuring the HIV/GBV prevention and impact mitigation as well as gender equality components of ANAPA are effectively implemented.

 Major Responsibilities:

·       Lead the design and implementation of the SAFE and SCHOOLED domains OVC.

·       Lead the design and implementation of the GBV prevention and post violence care (social services) for adolescent girls and young women.

·       Provide strategic direction and oversee the design and implementation of the male engagement and participatory community mobilization components of ANAPA.

·       Lead the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for child safeguarding to protect vulnerable children, adolescents, and youth (VCAY).

·       Collaborate with other Program Specialists to build the capacity of staff, local partners, and government counterparts on HIV sensitive OVC case management, disclosure, mental health, GBV, and parenting.

·       Support to strengthen existing national level coordination and collaboration mechanism for gender and child protection.

·       Support the adoption of evidence-based curricula on violence prevention and parenting at national level.

·       Oversee the integration of Project HOPE Namibia Gender Equality policy at all stages of implementation of ANAPA.

·       Build the capacity of staff and local partners on gender equality.

·       Support monitoring and evaluation of the impact of SAFE and SCHOOLED domains of OVC and gender interventions and make evidence-based recommendations for improvement.

·       Contribute to the development of project reports, documentation, and learning materials related to OVC and gender.

·       Any other responsibility assigned by the OVC Technical Lead.

Minimum Requirements:

·       Master’s degree in social work, gender studies, public health, or a related field.

·       Minimum of 7 years of experience in OVC programming, gender equality, or related roles.

·       Proven experience in designing and implementing gender-transformative interventions.

·       Strong understanding of child protection, and psychosocial support for VCAY.

·       Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

·       Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.
