The Role
Oxfam in Malawi is currently working to support the people affected by the cyclone Freddy floods in Mangochi districts. We are looking for results-oriented Malawian for the position of Gender & Protection Officer position to be based in Mangochi to support the humanitarian response for a period up to October 2023 subject to extension depending on continuity of the program and availability of resources. The successful candidates will work with the Response Coordinator to implement community level gender and protection activities, to assist the team to implement safe programming (guided by professional standards in gender in emergencies and protection work within Oxfam’s policies).
Applicants should have a Bachelor degree in related field desirable or its equivalent as well 3 years of practical experience in in protection and gender issues with INGO/NGO essential.
