Opportunities have arisen for suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following vacant positions tenable in various Sunbird Hotels, across the country.

FRONT OFFICE SUPERVISOR

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Updating exchange rates on the front office exchange board.
  • Checking house status by going through room occupancy, departure, arrival list number of rooms to be sold, out of order rooms and vacant rooms.
  • Ensuring that contingency reports are printed.
  • Making group arrival arrangements.
  • Checking in liaison with Housekeeping, that rooms are ready for occupation in time
  • Handling guest complaints.
  • Soliciting feedback from guests for Management’s action.
  • Supervising all capturing and posting of data in property management system.
  • Ensuring accurate billing by Receptionists.
  • Any other duties assigned from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills, Competences and Attributes desired:

  • Diploma in Front Office Operations / Diploma in Hospitality Management from any institution recognized by NCHE.
  • A full Malawi School Certificate of Education.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Front Office operations and supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and customer service savvy.
  • Attention to detail character.
  • Any other duties assigned from time to time.
