Position: Finance Officer

CEPA seeks to fill the following position:
Position: Finance Officer
Location: Blantyre, Malawi
Function
The Finance Officer will report to the Senior Finance Officer. He/she will be responsible for maintaining systems of accountability, capturing Accounting information and performing financial tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities and Deliverables
- Prepare payment schedules and vouchers.
- Review and maintain daily cash position.
- Prepare statutory contribution payments and monthly bank reconciliation statements.
- Organize and reconcile staff advances and sub-ledger accounts.
- File records of all financial transactions and correspondence.
- Input cashbook data using accounting software system.
- Compile and submit accurate financial reports within prescribed guidelines and deadlines.
- Prepare audit schedules.
- Carry out project audits and expenditure verifications.
- May perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, obtained from a recognized institution, plus two (2) years of demonstrated experience providing financial support.
