- Data entry
- Preparing a reconciliation report for invoiced amounts and the accrued revenue
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Booking of receipts in the accounting system
- Providing input to annual budget
- Booking of expenses and expense analysis abilities
- Preparation and submission of tax retums and assurance of tax compliance including 1 1 Filing and payment of VAT 2. Filing and payment of PAYE 3. Filing and payment of WHT FBT payment
- Ensuring all tax records are up to date
- Booking of investments in the accounting system
- Valuations of investments and booking of income thereon
- Production of audit schedules to support the accounts
- Bank reconciliation
- Filing of statutory retums with the regulators
Required knowledge in the following area
- IAS and FRS
- Investment valuation methods
- Malawi Taxation Law
- Pastel & ACCPAC proficiency
- MS Office with focus in Excel Skills
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Commerce Finance/ Accounting or equivalent and those also studying ACCA, FMVA or CIMA will have an added advantage
