Zamara Pensions Administrators Limited is a leading financial services firm that provides solutions to Corporates, SME’s and Individuals inRetirement Fund (Pension) Administration, Consulting and Corporate Trusteeship.
Zamara Pensions Administrators Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position outlined below:
Role: Finance and Fund Accounting Associate
Location: Blantyre, Malawi
Reporting Relationship: The role reports to the Finance and Fund Accounting Officer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate shall be responsible for general accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Preparation and submission of tax returns and assurance of tax compliance including:
- Booking of receipts, expenses, investments, earned and accrued income
- Production of audit schedules to support the accounts.
- Filing of statutory returns with various authorities
QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES
Required qualifications:
Bachelor of Commerce Finance/ Accounting or equivalent and those with studying ACCA or CIMA or FMVA will have an added advantage.
- Must have a minimum of 1 (One) year work experience.
- Microsoft Office Skills
- Pastel & ACCPAC proficiency
- Knowledge in IAS and IFRS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet application
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Personal attributes:
- Resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
- Good organization and delivery under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
