Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance and Administrative Officer will provide administrative and financial support to the organization. Key responsibilities include:
Finance Support:
- Preparation of Payment Vouchers.
- Management of Expenditure Cashbooks.
- Posting Transactions.
- Preparation of Financial Reports.
- Bank Reconciliation.
- Petty Cash Reconciliation.
- Submission of WHT, VAT Returns, and PAYE.
Administrative Support:
- Manage office supplies stock and place orders.
- Prepare regular reports on expenses and office budgets.
- Maintain and update company databases.
- Organize a filing system for important and confidential company documents.
- Answer queries from employees and clients.
- Maintain a company calendar and schedule appointments.
- Arrange travel and accommodations.
- Schedule in-house and external events.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of files and filing systems.
- Coordinate schedules, arrange meetings, distribute memos and reports.
- Operate office equipment.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the project manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum diploma qualification in accounting, finance, administration, or related fields.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft packages and accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, and Xero.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and proven collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of project management is desirable.
