Balaka District Council

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates of Malawian origin to fill Non-Established (NE) posts available in the Education Sector of Balaka District Council. The recruitment has been made possible with funding from the Save the Children Fund under a Numeracy and Literacy Program to be implemented for five (5) years from 2024 to 2028.

The posts are as follows:

Title : Field Facilitator(s)

Reporting to : Program Coordinator

Responsibilities

  1. Support the program coordinator in planning and implementing program activities at the community and school level.
  2. Mobilize and engage community members in program initiatives.
  3. Provide support and guidance to beneficiaries on program activities.
  4. Conduct field visits to monitor program progress and outcomes.
  5. Facilitate community and school meetings and focus group discussions.
  6. Support the organization of training and workshops for community members
  7. Identify and address challenges and barriers to program implementation.
  8. Promote child protection and education awareness in the community.
  9. Maintain regular communication with the project team and collect and report on data from field activities.
  10. Ensure the participation of children and youth in project activities.
  11. Build relationships with local and community stakeholders to support program goals.
  12. Any other roles assigned.

Qualification and Experience

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Community Development, Social Work, Education, Project Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a similar setting.
  • Proficiency in computer explications.
