Vacancy: Farm Manager – Chitedze, Lilongwe
Are you passionate about agriculture and ready to take on the challenge of managing a small commercial farm? We are seeking a Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our farm located in Chitedze, Lilongwe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain irrigation farming systems.
- Oversee the cultivation of 30-day cash crops, ensuring optimal yield.
- Care for chickens, egg production, and other livestock.
- Operate and maintain farm equipment, including tractors.
- Plan and implement farm operations with minimal supervision.
- Lead, teach, and motivate a team of helpers to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain records and ensure sustainable farming practices are upheld.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in irrigation farming and livestock management.
- Familiarity with quick-yield cash crops and their cultivation.
- Skilled in operating tractors and other farm machinery.
- A strong team player with leadership and teaching abilities.
- Self-motivated, trustworthy, and capable of working independently.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
