An emerging Exploration Company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals to fill the position of Exploration and Mining Geologist.
- Generation of regional log correlations faces and thickness maps play fairway maps.
- Review of geological field work.
- Prospect risking, resource estimation.
- 3D reservoir static model preparation and Reservoir estimation.
- Liaison in preparation of field appraisal / development plans.
- Preparation of Intent to drill and final well reports.
- Opportunity screening and prioritization
- Preparation of Geological Sections & Plans Plotting on real earth coordinates with Auto CAD & Partial knowledge of survey works.
- Proficiency in Instrumentation like SPBX, MPBX, Load cell, Piezometer, data interpretation.
- Timely mineral assessments and maintenance of the Reserve & Resource schedule in accordance with the company’s reporting protocol relating to the region’s portfolio.
Qualification & Experience:
- M.Sc. in Geology or equivalent from a recognized institution around the world
- 3-5 years in G&G work for E&P companies (Prospect generation and field appraisal / development).
- Should be well versed with industry standard software and have experience of report preparation.
- Should possess strong communication & leadership skills having innovative ideas.
- An ideal candidate must possess a Doctorial degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following: Geology/Earth Sciences.
- The candidate should also have studied 20 additional semester hours in any combination of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological science, structural, chemical, civil, mining or petroleum engineering, computer science, planetary geology, comparative planetology, geophysics, meteorology, hydrology, oceanography, physical geography, marine geology, and cartography; or a combination of education and experience with education equivalent to one of the majors listed that included the described coursework during bachelors and master studies.
