As part of its expansion drive, Farmers World Limited wishes to recruit suitably qualified persons to fill the following existing vacancies, which are tenable at its Farmers World Head Office, Kanengo, Lilongwe.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Managing the CD’s office, including;
    • Taking and screening telephone calls, taking messages and responding to queries
    • Receiving and Drafting letters
    • Receiving and responding to emails
    • Managing CD’s diary / calendar
    • Ensuring that office and boardroom its clean and presentable
    • Ensuring that coffees and refreshments are available.
    • Managing the designated cleaner
  • Arranging meetings for the CD, including
    • Setting up / arranging / coordinating meetings, conference calls
    • Booking appointments as requested
    • Preparing the board room for meetings inc. printing agendas, necessary documents
    • Preparing teas, coffees, refreshments
    • Taking meeting minutes as and when requested
    • Drafting and sharing printed minutes
  • Managing CD’s travel arrangements including;
    • Booking flights
    • Booking accommodation
    • Arranging airport pick ups
    • Drafting and sharing travel schedules for guests from the group companies
  • Welcome CD’s guests/clients in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Liaising with internal group companies’ senior teams
  • Preparing and updating reports
  • Following up on tasks given by the CD to various teams
  • Assisting in organizing event
  • Managing FWL Charity/Corporate Social Responsibility Programs
  • Performing personal errands for CD
  • Working closely with various assigned personnel
  • Promoting and advancing the interest of the CD’s office and the company
  • Any other duties as allocated by the Country Director

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Business Administration/Secretarial Studies or a closely related field
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Professional etiquette
  • Proven experience working in the same or similar role
  • Excellent ability to multitask efficiently
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well individually and with a team
  • Detail oriented
  • Exceptional customer service skills
