Plasticycle is a leading plastic recycling company committed to sustainably and innovatively recycle used household as well as industrial plastic materials thereby assisting government in its agenda to fight against the environmental plastic pollution in the country. We are now looking for individuals who are technically competent, eager to learn in the following vacant positions at our Factory in Chirimba-Blantyre.
ELECTRICIAN/FITTER – (1 position)
Brief Job Description
The incumbent shall be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical as well as
mechanical systems of the Recycling Plant, ensuring continuous and efficient running of the operations.
The requires expertise in industrial automation, motors, conveyors and high voltage equipment and
basic mechanical fitting skills.
Educational Qualifications and Experience
1. Must have a Malawi School Certificate of Education
2. Minimum Grade I National Trade Test Certificate in Electrical Installation
3. Those with a Mechanical background would have an added advantage
4. Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience
Requisite Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Able to interpret electrical and mechanical schedules
2. Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
3. Strong of the electrical and mechanical systems particularly in the plastic recycling or
manufacturing industries.
4. Familiar with Occupational Health and Safety Measures (OSH)
5. Honest, trustworthy and ability to communicate effectively
6. Willing to work in a fast-paced physically demanding environment
