Overview

Timotheos Foundation is a highly reputable registered Christian Charity Organisation in Malawi. Registered in 2012 with relevant stakeholders in Malawi, its interventions are mainly child caring, education, and Bursary, among others. As the organization grows, activities grow as well hence the need for a Human Resources Officer and Education Officer to fill vacancies in the two departments of the organisation.

In view of the above, suitable candidates are invited to fill the positions of Human Resources Officer and Education Officer. Interested candidates must be computer literate, mainly in word, excel, and PowerPoint. The positions are tenable at Head Office in Blantyre:

Key duties

To manage all Education related issues in all our Centres

1. Evaluating and reporting on the work of teachers and on the progress of the teaching of the subject in all our schools.
2. Evaluating and ensuring the quality and standards of teaching and learning in schools.
3. Participating and contributing effectively to educational programs, both during and after school hours.
4. Contributing towards the organisation’s growth and provision of professional Development within the education sector.
5. Advising, supporting, and monitoring educational programs in all our Schools.
6. Assisting in the professional development of staff.
7. Participating in the monitoring of the implementation and evaluation of  the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), and regularly contribute to its relevant review
8. Advising on the choice of textbooks, equipment, teaching aids and other educational resources.
9. Assisting in the preparation of budgets for the Department that he or she is assigned to.
10. Mentoring Heads of Department and other teaching personnel
11. To do any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• The candidate must possess Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent.
• The candidate must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a reputable institution.
• The candidate must be mature, presentable, well-behaved, of sober habits with exemplary behavior.
• Experience is an added advantage.

Remuneration

Salary will be commensurate with the grade and scope of the post indicated, as shall be laid out in the contract of employment.
