Project Hope

Project Hope Namibia in Malawi (PHN-MA) seeks qualified Malawian candidate to fill various positions for the USAID funded Ana ndi Achinyamata Patsogolo Activity (ANAPA) Project, a project aimed at preventing new HIV infections and improve the health wellbeing and Protection of Children, Adolescents, their families and Young Women (CAFYW) living with, affected by and vulnerable to HIV. ANAPA will be implemented in high HIV burdened nine districts in Malawi (Blantyre, Chikwawa, Lilongwe, Machinga, Mangochi, Mulanje, Phalombe, Thyolo and Zomba). The program focus on Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) and Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) and Adolescent Boys and Young Men (ABYM). The approach is also including but not limited to System Strengthening, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) in close collaboration with Government of Malawi (GoM).

Position: Economic Strengthening/PSE Coordinator

Reports To: Economic Strengthening Specialist

Duty Station: National (Blantyre)

Job Summary: The ES Coordinator will be responsible for establishing and nurturing partnerships between ANAPA and various private sector entities. This individual will play a critical role in establishing a strong network of private sector partners (PSP) at all levels.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead the institutionalization and integration of PSE into the full cycle of ANAPA

  • Mapping the private-sector landscape in the 9 Districts

  • Serve as a point of contact for the PSE.

  • Building staff capacity on PSE.

  • Promote awareness about PSE.

  • Use PSP advisory groups and other platforms for early and ongoing engagement of the private sector.

  • Lead the development and implementation of relationship-management plan targeting PSP, business networks and associations.

  • Provide technical assistance to national level HIV/AIDS coordination structures to engage the private sector.

  • Support the ES Specialist in labor market assessment

  • Support Economic Strengthening Officers (ESOs) to establish, strengthen and maintain PSP advisory groups at local level.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, business management, entrepreneurship, development studies, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in PSE, corporate partnerships, or related roles.

  • Those with a Siyakha Experience will have an added advantage

Specific Knowledge, Skills and abilities Required.

  • Proven ability to leverage private sector resources for social impact.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to social responsibility and youth development.

7. Position: Community Engagement Coordinator. (1)

Reporting to: Gender and GBV specialist

Duty Station: National (Blantyre). Job Summary: Will be responsible for leading community mobilization and engagement efforts within the ANAPA. Will focus on building strong partnerships with local communities, stakeholders, and traditional leaders to create an-enabling environment for vulnerable children, adolescents, and youth (VCAY) to thrive.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies that align with ANAPA goals and objectives.

  • Build the capacity of ANAPA field staff to establish and nurture relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and stakeholders.

  • Support field staff to establish and train community advisory groups and committees.

  • Develop and implement male engagement activities.

  • Develop and implement participatory community mobilization strategies.

  • Build the capacity of staff, local partners and government partners on male engagement and participatory community mobilization.

  • Support the adoption of evidence-based curriculum on participatory community mobilization at national level.

Minimum Qualifications, experience and required skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree in community development, social sciences, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in male engagement, participatory community mobilization, or related roles.

  • Strong knowledge of community-based approaches and participatory methodologies.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, facilitation and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to build rapport and trust with diverse community stakeholders.
